Sponsorship
The Crested Butte School of Dance celebrated 40 years of serving the community in 2023. Shelly Clements stepped into the role of Executive Director in July 2022 and has been hard at work shaping school culture and building community partnerships to increase access to the arts in the Gunnsion Valley .
The generosity and engagement of our sponsors allows us to focus on our mission, expand our programming capacity, increase community access to dance experiences, and offer professional development to our staff and board. We recognize our sponsors at all events, on our website, in our newsletters, in The CB News, and by word of mouth.

How Your Sponsorship Helps
Outreach Programs
We believe that dance should not be confined to a studio or theater but should go outside the traditional walls to open up dance empowerment in unconventional spaces to include true inclusion and diversity for all.
Crested Butte Dance Collective
School of Dance values adults in dance! Sponsorships will support teacher education, aerial program development, and adult scholarship programs. These funds support local events such as Vinotok, CBDC Fall Show, and Move the Butte.
Guest Artists
We hire guest artists for master classes and workshops to offer enrichment and comprehensive learning opportunities for our teachers, students, and community.
Scholarship Program
We provide scholarships to local families and students who require and request assistance.
Inclusive Programming
Your sponsorship will help CBSOD pursue inclusivity on a valley-wide and then state-wide spectrum.
State of the Art Performances
CBSOD and longtime community partner Center for the Arts offer professional-level dance performances that bring the entire community together each year. Your sponsorship helps provide access to state-of-the-art shows in our rural mountain town so that we can say, “Come for the snow; stay for the show!”
