Locations
We use studio spaces throughout the Crested Butte community! Thanks to the generous support of the Town of Crested Butte, The Pump Room Studio is the primary location for SOD classes. View the map below to find each location.
The Pump Room
This is the largest studio in Gunnison County, offering a wide-open, inspirational space for dance and other movement activities. Many of our classes and rehearsals are held here. The Pump Room has a mirror that stretches the length of one wall and houses the School’s dance and stereo equipment. This studio is located in downtown Crested Butte at 3rd St and Maroon Ave on the 3rd floor of the former fire station. The main entrance is on the 3rd St side. The Pump Room is also available for rentals. Contact programs@dancecrestedbutte.org for information!
The Center for the Arts
Classes and rehearsals are held at the Center for the Arts, primarily in the Jones Performance Hall and Schaul Children’s Music Room. We use the Steddy Theater for most of our performances.
The Union Congregational Church
Sunset Hall
Occasionally, classes are held in Sunset Hall, located in CB South. Enter via the back of the building.
Skyland Country Club
Occasionally, classes are held on the second floor of the Skyland country club.
Town Hall
Classes are occasionally held in the Community Room, located in the Crested Butte Town Hall building. Enter through the main doors.
