Summer Camps for Youth Information

Summer Camps! June 15-August 5. Registration opens March, 29th.

PRESCHOOL CAMPS:
June 15th – August 7th

Ages 3-5:

Our youngest dancers will fill their mornings with ballet, outside adventures, creative movement, arts & crafts, dance games, stories and more!  These themed camps are a terrific opportunity for children to explore several types of dance while parents get some time to get things done!   You can sign up for Tuesday or Thursday or BOTH!

 

SCHOOL AGED CAMPS:
June 15th – August 7th

Incoming Kindergarten-2nd grade:

MINDFUL MOVEMENT CAMP

Every Monday our dancers are brought into a day filled with movement. Students will have a range of classes from yoga, pilates, ballet, hip hop and more! Camp has a half day or full day option. (Dance History Project- This is a walk through the timeline of dance. Students will get to hear the music from the time, read books about time, see videos of time period dance and make up their own dance/story to time period specific dances.)
*Please send labeled water bottle, snacks, and wear sunblock. Comfortable clothes for movement or dance clothes. No shoes or socks needed (can wear ballet shoes if student wants) in classroom but walking shoes needed for adventures.

 

Example of Daily schedule
9-915: drop off at Town Hall
915-1000: Yoga with Sophia (Rotates weekly)
1000-1015: snack
1015-1115: Fun at Rainbow park
1130-1200: Lunch at Rainbow park
1200-1215: Adventure back to Town Hall
1215-100: Hip Hop with Miss Ally
100: PICK UP FOR ½ DAY STUDENTS
115-200: Outdoor conditioning with Ashley (rotates weekly)
215-300: Dance History Project with Ally

 

Incoming 3rd grade-5th grade:

MINDFUL MOVEMENT CAMP

Every Wednesday our dancers are brought in to a day filled with movement. Students will have a range of classes from yoga, pilates, HITT, ballet, hip hop, dance history and more! Camp has a half day or full day option. (Dance History Project- This is a walk through the timeline of dance. Students will get to hear the music from the time, read books about time, and see videos of time period dances. Students will also spend time in the library researching famous dancers from each time period and presenting (in groups) what they have learned. All of this information will combine in a space where they can create their own dances based on the information they have learned from their research.)
*Please send labeled water bottle, snacks, lunch and wear sunblock. Comfortable clothes for movement or dance clothes. Students can go bare foot or wear jazz/ballet shoes for dance classes. Students will be walking/hiking/running please wear appropriate shoes.  Full day students will need notebook and writing utensil.
