Dance Crested Butte Youth Company
A rigorous program for serious dancers, providing access to enrichment opportunities including professional performances, competitions and conventions, and visiting guest artists. The Dance Crested Butte (DCB) Company is open to dancers in middle and high school (Grade 6-12).
Are you a current 5th through 11th grade dancer who is interested in joining company for the 2026-27 season? If so, please register for the Company Audition Class and Ballet class in the upcoming May Mini-Block (for your grade level). In the Audition Class, participants will spend the first two classes learning dance combos and preparing for the audition and then have the actual company audition during the final class. The audition will also be used to determine special roles for Nutcracker [Rated CB] 2026. Click below to register for May Mini-Block classes.
At the Crested Butte School of Dance, we teach our students to move in the studio and to move through life. The DCB Company is a rigorous program that offers students access to enrichment opportunities including professional performances, competitions and conventions, and visiting guest artists enhance their local dance training. DCB values include: upholding the SOD mission (read below), commitment and dedication to to meaningful dance training, self-care, community engagement, inclusivity, creative voice, collaboration and teamwork, and connection to the world around us through movement. DCB dancers travel, perform main stage shows at the Steddy Theater, perform at community events, and have a strong voice in the culture of the School of Dance.
