Crested Butte Dance Collective
The Crested Butte Dance Collective is a program of the CB School of Dance that is dedicated to creating access to dance for adults.
Adult Dance Classes
We offer adult classes in various styles for students ages 18 and up. The options vary throughout the year and may include Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Aerial, Hip Hop, Tap, Dance Fitness, Empowered Pole, and more.
Adult classes are open to dancers of all ability levels; teachers will scaffold to the individuals in the room. It is common for a never-ever to be in class with more experienced dancers and to have the opportunity to learn with and from them.

Performance Opportunities
Most years we offer the opportunity for dancers to perform in an Adult Fall Show. This show brings a group of choreographers and dancers together to explore a common theme developed by the artistic directors. Move the Butte is an annual community dance production featuring over 100 local dancers and many different dance styles. MTB has been running for 16 years, approximately 1,200 audience members attend each year, and we encourage any new participants to join us! For Move the Butte 2027, participants will be able to register for MTB Rehearsal Classes and/or select regular MTB rehearsals.
